SPIRIT ANOMALIES
AT BONNEVILLE CRATER

In the above first over and under split screen image, you see a scene where the Spirit rover is looking from the near side of the Bonneville Crater depression across to the far distant side. This is a JPL image without color added, so I just left it that way. I want to acknowledge that this particular image strip and its light source evidence was brought to my attention by a viewer Jon LaCour in some good heads up feedback work.
The most obvious evidence here standing out sharply in the terrain is a source of light easily seen here. Note that we are seeing it in the day time and that means that it must indeed be very bright. The lower split screen offers a closer view of both the light source and the darker object it is associated with even though not much can be seen of the object itself. Note that the brilliant light source appears to be just that rather than some point of light reflectivity off of an object and it appears to be associated with the left side of the dark indistinct object.
Unfortunately, this JPEG compression imaging is of very poor quality typical of that released for public review. That means that we can't get a better look at this evidence in this particular black and white image. However, in the second image below from another later image release, the object associated with this light source can be seen much better, at least relatively speaking.
As you can see in the above second also over and under split screen image evidence drawn from a different and higher resolution image strip offering a closer view, this object can now be seen much better. The official image is a huge mosaic of a number of images taken by the Spirit Panoramic camera. The largest available official JPEG compression image is almost 4 Mb in file size with a false-color added at official level.
This very strange object is fairly large but distantly seen. Most of it is a very light reflective color highly suggestive of metallic composition and obviously very highly suggestive of artificiality. Note how the object stands out so sharply contrast wise and so alien in this terrain. On the near right side of the object, note that there appears to be two angled upward projections. Note that there are also what appear to be 2-3 spheres on top of the object's base area. Finally, as you can see, there is no longer any light source emanating from this object in this later taken image.
In this whole very wide area panoramic mosaic strip, there is nothing else even remotely like this striking evidence in the terrain and so it stands out very strongly. The fact that such a highly anomalous object made it through the tampering applications without getting covered up is itself evidence that the tampering is for the most part applied by fast automated software and this irregular shaped object without strong geometric linear and right angle patterns associated with it fell outside the software's programming profile patterns. Obviously, this metallic looking object with its angled projections and spheres would appear unlikely to have anything to do with natural geology and everything to do with artificiality. The obvious implication is that this is strong evidence of advanced intelligent life on Mars, even out here in these Gusev Crater waste lands.
Also, the light source seen in the top first image being on in one image and then off in this one, implies that this is very likely an active functioning object or installation of some kind as oppose to say ancient civilization debris or aircraft wreckage. Now if I can ever get my hands on the huge 97.61 Mb TIFF file that is available for the PIA05570 version of this mosaic image (its many times the file size of the JPEG strip used here), we might be able to get an even closer and more definitive view as to what this is. Unfortunately, it would take well over 8 hours to download such a file on my meager dial-up connection making that solution impractical.
Obviously, work like this is badly in need of some serious broadband fast download connectivity but the cost is prohibitive for me personally in my rural setting. When one hears, as I did a few nights ago on CNN, that Paul Allen of Microsoft fame is donating millions of dollars to SETI research where they are suppose to be trying to listen in on possible alien communications and determining whether other life is out there, I have to just shake my head. What could be done here in this hard evidence producing work with just a small portion of such resources!
SKY & HORIZON LINE EVIDENCE: The above three way split screen third image demonstrates several different kinds of evidence. The sky and horizon line evidence in the top portion of the image is something that I thought you should be aware of. As you can see, both the sky and horizon line are very busy but in different ways. The blocky look of the sky artifacts is caused by my putting a lot of contrast and darkening on this image to also bring out the horizon line evidence. Unfortunately, this came at the expense of the sky evidence. The bright green sky color is artificially chosen by me just to make all this evidence stand out better.
You should know that the sky artifacts in the official 100% resolution without all that contrast are still faintly visible at official resolution and look like faint wispy darker color scattered small clouds. However, that is not what they are nor are they severe JPEG compression artifacts as I've reported in my previous report #062 titled "Spirit Sky Artifact Evidence." In comparison with that previously reported sky artifact evidence, please note to the very smooth spaces between these artifacts. These spaces are very clean and fine textured smooth and that is not the way it is with the more severe forms of JPEG compression when contrast is added as shown in my above linked report #062. In other words, what ever this is, it is not JPEG compression artifacts.
Also, you should know that over the portion of the terrain shown here, these sky artifacts are thick in the sky but are thin to nonexistent over other portions of the terrain in this same big panoramic official image. Further, there is a very distinct angled crisscross line pattern to this strange evidence when tested with even more contrast as though this is associated with some rigid angled sky gridwork either created artificially for some reason by someone digitally messing with the sky and introducing these artifacts or alternatively possibly part of the real Mars atmospheric canopy over this area. I cannot say which it may be without better evidence.
On the horizon line itself there are a lot of artifacts of differing heights and sizes. This type of evidence in the earliest Spirit imaging was first brought to my attention in some good feedback work back in January by another viewer Aureon Kwolek. In his mid level graphics software program, he gets very large strange looking artifacts on the horizon line. I cannot duplicate their size and shape in PhotoShop any better than what you see here. On the other hand, I have been able to replicate similar artifacts in other imaging and have confirmed that it appears to be associated, at least to some extent, with JPEG compression imaging problems, which this Spirit and Opportunity imaging as released to the public is full of.
Likewise, especially in this larger mosaic imaging, I have determined that someone at official level has digitally separated the sky from the terrain horizon line. It is possible that subsequent JPEG compression saves are clustering artifacts around these many separation points on the horizon line pixel by pixel and could be associated with that. Even so, as you can see, there is an awful lot going on in the sky and on the horizon line that should not be there. I don't have a definitive explanation for you for what this is but thought you should at least be aware of it and of some possible analysis considerations.
BLACK BOX EVIDENCE: Now in the lower left corner of the above third image, you can clearly see a tallish solid black rectangular box embedded in the natural rocks so dark black that it completely absorbs light and has absolutely no reflectivity to it at all even though this is seen in full sunlight and everything else object wise in this big strip has plenty of reflectivity. Note that it sticks well above the rocks near it and so there is absolutely no chance that this object could be associated with dark shadow thrown by some other nearby object. Its well defined linear edges and right angles clearly demonstrate that this is a stand alone object.
Further, as with the large light source object, this object also stands out very sharply contrast wise relative to the natural components in this terrain and there is nothing else in the terrain even remotely like it among thousands of natural geological components in this or other images. It is clearly highly suggestive of artificiality as well as advanced technology. I have no real knowledge of what this might be but I would guess that it is solar powered sensor of some kind located inside or just below this solar energy absorbing box.
No telling what is below ground under this surface object? It is located on the near side rim right at the edge of the Bonneville Crater depression. Could it be associated with the (research station?) light source object some distance away across the Bonneville Crater depression?
DEAD ANIMAL(?) EVIDENCE: Next, in the lower right corner of the above third image, you can see an object that looks very much like some small dead animal's possibly desiccated carcass lying on the sand. The head complete with eye and the stiff appendages sticking out and all with correct general anatomical proportions is the strong visual evidence that leads to the visual impression that this is a life form of some kind.
So is this really evidence of a dead life form on Mars? It could very well be, the visual evidence is strong in this regard. However, we also have to recognize that it is also possible that a rock could have worn into this visual configuration or a collection of small rocks. It does happen in nature. Additionally, the "sand" around this object appears to me to be fine mapped image tampering application. If so, the tampering mapping around this object's perimeter edges could have covered up something there that would have led to a different visual interpretation of the object itself and that potential must not be ignored either.
So, my final take on this is that the visual evidence is still strong for this being a life form but not conclusive enough because reasonable caution demands recognition of the other possibilities. Although I had already identified this object and its potential and while I was forming this report on it, its presence in the image was brought to my attention by a viewer John Koolman in some excellent feedback. While my caution on what call I am willing to make on this evidence may not go far enough for him, I do want to acknowledge his good heads up work in bringing this particular evidence with its strong potential to my attention.
Well, we just can't get away from it now can we. The above over and under split screen fourth image shows a couple of samples of the more easily identified image tampering applications in this big wide view panoramic official Spirit image. The top scene is of an area on the right end slope of Bonneville Crater and the second scene below it is of an area all the way to the right edge of the big official image well to the right of the Bonneville depression.
The top scene has what I regard as very obvious image tampering at the upper and lower end of some long angled parallel rows. These rows are also tampering applications but I suspect that this center rows area between the upper and lower tampering fields is mapping to and conforming to something real but now covered up in the terrain that was already in this long straight parallel rows pattern. The parallel rows are just too straight for too much length and too uniform to be the natural wind blown dune ridges someone probably hoped we would think they were. Something has been hidden here that is in long straight parallel rows and the tampering application has mapped to those rows.
The lower scene demonstrates a large horizontal band of some fairly broad complete blot out direct image tampering dithering smudge application that I've labeled as tampering. Other areas mimicking sand dunes and troughs in this image strip are also fake but much better done with a random quality to them more typical of natural geology. Further, the fine close resolution map tampering in the small spaces in the general terrain elsewhere in this strip is quite hard to detect. However, this particular tampering application area is rather crude with long straight sharp linear border edges overlapping the true natural terrain that is clearly not natural sand dunes or trough systems. Further, when examined very closely, the application is essentially featureless except for the presence of very fine very uniform dithering patterns clearly demonstrating that it is an application artificial to this scene. It would be very interesting to know what has been covered up here by this.
To help you recognize this type of application in other areas of this same scene, please note the fake "sand" piled up against the rock just below the broad band application and also labeled as tampering. Note its grainy darker color quality. That grainy look is a function of the uniform dithering application pattern disclosed by my clarification processing. If you will look closely, you can see it also covering some upper rock surfaces to the left of the rock. I did not put tampering labels on these areas because I try to keep these scenes as free of clutter as possible.
Remember, that image tampering is evidence to. So, when you start wondering what anomalous evidence like the black box and the light source object missed by the tampering is doing in such lonely rocky terrain wastes, remember that there is much going on here in this imaging that we are not seeing due to may different kinds of tampering. This Bonneville Crater area and nearby environs may not be the lonely wastes that they first appear to be in this official imaging. Never forget or underestimate the impact of the tampering and its effectiveness in influencing perception.
ADDENDUM
In fairness, viewers in general should be aware that the bright object evidence in the first two images in the upper portion of this report has been identified early on before my reporting as the Spirit heat shield discarded in entry. If it is truly the Spirit heat shield and therefore a product of Earth, that would of course preclude any consideration that this object might be representative of Mars native civilization evidence and would make my comments in error along this line in my initial report.
The general reflective quality of the object in my above second image in this report drawn from the official color imaging might also tend to support this conclusion, if only considered alone. Further, because I did not attend to this well in my above initial reporting, because NASA identified this early one as the Spirit heat shield, and because the explanation came from NASA, a few viewers regard the bright object as not being anomalous evidence. As for me, I was aware of NASA's position, do not regard their explanation as correct, do continue to regard the bright object evidence as highly anomalous, and here is why.
The primary key to interpreting this evidence is in the first over and under split screen black and white image in my report. Although this is poor quality grainy JPEG compression imaging, it clearly demonstrates a strong very intense light source originating from the object in question and, more specifically, from a pin point source on the left side of the object. My position is that this light source is being artificially generated from a specific point on the object and it is pointed right at the Rover. That is why it appears so strong and intense to the camera lens that took this image. Now I'm satisfied that NASA or JPL would say that this is simply sunlight reflecting off of the highly reflective Spirit heat shield.
However, look very closely at the first black and white image above and remember that this to is NASA/JPL's own imaging. It is daylight with sunlight present and note how really intense the light source is and more specifically note how dark and shadowy the rest of the object is adjacent to the right of the light source. Now, in my above second image from the big mosaic official false color image, note how generally light reflective that most of the surface of this object is. The point is that, even though the general object is light reflective, it is clearly dark and shadowy in the first image where the strong light source evidence is prominent.
Obviously, that is not evidence of lighting conditions suitable for very strong light reflectivity and especially not producing such a really strong intense pin point light source. If the sunlight on this object was that strong, it would be reflecting fairly strongly from the bulk of the rest of the object that we know from the official color image is quite light reflective. The fact that this isn't happening in the first image demonstrating the bright light source from a different official image is very telling evidence.
Although I didn't explain it well enough, this is why I included the first imaging in my report, to give this A-B comparison and to demonstrate via the evidence the lack of reflective quality in that particular imaging. This hard evidence drawn from their own science data pretty much does away with any strong pin point sunlight reflectivity theory producing this light source in this particular image. That puts us back again to this object across Bonneville Crater depression actually generating its own strong light source evidence and pointed right at the Spirit Rover as gauged by its intensity in the camera lens.
Now, can you imagine the viability of a crashed and wrecked Spirit heat shield being in good enough condition to generate a strong light source and coincidentally pointed right at the Spirit Rover as it approaches from across the other side of the depression? Can you imagine even the viability of the concept of such a light source being associated with the Spirit heat shield at all in light of the fact that it is expected to crash, wreck, and otherwise come to no good end on the Mars surface? If that doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for you, it certainly does to me.
Then there are the two angled upward substantial rounded projections sticking out on the right near side of the object as well as what appears to be spheres on top of the object. Does this describe the Spirit heat shield components in your opinion? Particular after a crash into the planet's surface?
In my opinion, I suspect that this bright object evidence was missed by the automated tampering software simply because its irregular strange shape did not fit any of the software's geometric programming profiles. This evidence then made it through the mostly automated processing of the different images into the big collective mosaic image designed for media presentation and was posted too late to take it back. Then someone in the media brought this bright shinny object so sharply contrasting and unnatural in the terrain to their attention producing a "situation" that had to be dealt with after the fact. The Spirit heat shield explanation was the only solution to the "situation" under the circumstances and sort of like closing the gate after the horse has bolted. I further suspect that no one thought to associate the intense light source evidence from a different official image with this object as per the evidence in my first image.
So, you see why I was not impressed with NASA's explanation and remain of the opinion that this evidence is highly anomalous, very suggestive of artificiality native to Mars and not Earth, and very suggestive of high technology and civilization evidence native to Mars. NASA and JPL can say what ever they want to counting on the "trust us" psychology in the general public, but for me it is the evidence itself that speaks loudest of all.
I might also add that I have obtained on CD the 97.61 Mb PIA05507 TIFF file of the big false color mosaic official image and it offers very little increase in detail on this evidence. I expected this and that's why I did not hold up the report waiting on it. This by the way is another very disgusting point with me. The particular TIFF file is many times the size of the JPEG file that my report imaging is drawn from and, even though I anticipated obfuscation, theoretically it should have offered a considerable increase in detail over the JPEG files.
The fact that it doesn't demonstrates to me that TIFF files like this are worked up in reverse from the poor JPEG imaging with software filling in the blank and safe areas to produce higher files sizes that look good on paper but offering nothing conducive to real research. The way it is suppose to work is that the TIFF images should be worked down from the true RAW science data imaging retaining the really serious resolution detail. In other words, the bottom line seems to be that independent researchers and the public are never going to be allowed to access the real true full resolution science imaging that might lead to truth.
This is how your tax dollars are being spent. Is that okay with you?
