THE STRANGE MOON THING
Report #210

The above 1st image reveals some very strange
nearly cartoon looking evidence on the Moon pointed out by the red arrow and
brought to my attention by viewer Sean Stewart. In my subsequent research
on this, I see that this object has been found by others and discussed in
forums but no one seems to have a viable explanation for it.
Before you begin to think how ridiculous looking this evidence is, remember
that it is in the official science data and presented here exactly as it is
presented in a higher resolution image version
of the official science data at 100% original size and resolution available
at the link above. Remember, that this evidence
would be very poorly visible in the regular poorer resolution smaller imaging
that is the most commonly available online. That might help explain why it
has been apparently passed over by others for over 40 years.
Remember as well that this 1st image has no graphics work of any kind in it
by me other than the arrow and labeling. The over saturation of obscuring
reflective white color on the terrain surrounding it is as it appears in the
original source image also making it easy to miss.
Note that this small object's top area appears to be a spherical shape and
this sits on a visually very narrow stalk below it that appears in turn to
be making contact with the ground. If you will look closely, you will see
what suggests features like goggles for two eyes on the spherical portion
and this in turn gives it that ridiculous looking face like directional quality
and appearance. The whole thing together reminds me of balloon with crude
graphics on it sitting on a very narrow stalk poking out of the ground watching
our astronaut camera person and/or the Lunar Module the image information
and visual shadow evidence says is nearby.
Note also that in this wider angle context view as well as in the closer better
clarified views below there appears to be no astronaut activity traces (tracks)
existing in the soil any where around this object. Therefore, if based on
that alone, it would not appear to be any kind of object placed at this location
by astronaut activity. Look for this lack of astronaut tracks as evidence
in the closer image views below.
On the other hand, this object does appear to be within an ever so slightly
darker terrain field that extends down from the horizon line to a point in
the terrain around and just below this object where a slightly lighter color
field takes over extending further down. If you will look very closely, the
border line between these two fields can be vaguely seen in the 3rd image
appearing below. I suspect both of these fields to be image tampering but,
if so, why would such an anomalous looking object be left out of the tampering
coating or even alternatively created by those doing such covert work in the
science data at all?
I bring this up because, if these fields are the result of image tampering,
that obscuring smudge coating could have hidden any astronaut tracks around
this object. Under those circumstances, this could then be an object brought
to the Moon on this mission and placed in this spot by our people. If so,
then this story converts over to one about the never ending image tampering.
That's the trouble with this older Moon material, it often cannot be trusted.

The above 2nd, 3rd, and 4th images offer
increasingly closer views and with some clarification work in them by me.
So what is this thing? Is it something real or fake? If fake, then this is
yet another disgusting story about faked Moon evidence and obfuscation and
time to move on. However, if it is a real object, is it something organic
and living or something inanimate? It sort of looks like an alien with the
suggestion of a mouth that has popped up partially out of the ground wearing
lens of some kind and is checking out what is going on over at the Lunar Module.
However, so many things about it just don't add up.
For example, note that there appears to be no displacement of the soil around
it. Is that real or has image tampering obscured this? If real, this tends
to negate the physical pop up idea. Also, note the shadow that it appears
to cast to our lower left. If it is this object's shadow as it seems to be,
it appears to be in the opposite direction of other evidence in the nearby
terrain even though this other shadow evidenced is very poorly seen. Further,
if it is a solid object, that shadow appears to be more slim and narrow than
we might expect from such a object much wider at the top than at the bottom
unless the object is flattened front to back rather than fully rounded and
we're just not able to see that here.
Now image tampering in the terrain around this location could explain some
of the shadow problems and lack of astronaut tracks. The terrain around this
object is suspect in this way. However, although I can't be conclusive about
this, the object itself does not appear to be a later addition into the original
image as might be the case with subsequent 1969 image tampering unless everything
that we are looking at here, terrain and object, have been entirely faked.
Likewise, if someone worked this image over thoroughly at the time it was
converted from film to digital media, why would they go to all that trouble
to cover other anomalous material and then create this extremely anomalous
looking small object back into the scene? Seems like a lot risk to run for
the sake of humor with bosses not likely to be pleased about it.
One needs to remember that this is the Apollo 11
mission to the Moon conducted in July, 1969.
Therefore, we are in theory dealing with the limiting late 1960s graphics
technology and 70mm film rather than digital media unless this entire scene
was created somewhere at official level when the film was later converted
over to digital media for presentation online. This site on the Moon is suppose
to be in the Sea of Tranquility and the astronauts on the ground taking this
picture would be Neil Armstrong as Commander and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin
as the Lunar Module Pilot.
In speculation, if this is something real at ground level, then I suspect
it is likely a covert observation only device of some advanced technology
kind and, despite its crude face like appearance, not organic. Note that parts
of the interior volume of the upper sphere portion is similar to the color
and patterns of the background terrain with only a very faint transparent
green tint to it. If real, could this be some relatively thin clear material
with graphics on it defining direction to point the devise in? Something inflated
out of the ground through a narrow tube? Could the sphere be inflated with
a gas that has optical properties recording what is going on directionally
in front of it?
It is entirely possible that the astronauts may not have been able to readily
see this object against its background even though their camera did record
it. If they did see it so relatively nearby and it isn't something they were
familiar with, I suspect that someone may have been thinking about doing something
smelly in the lower regions of their suit.
Such a covert small intrusion to the surface footprint of a devise would explain
the bottom area stalk like feature. Logically it would be more rigid to pass
through a surface access tube than the thinner expandable top sphere area.
That lower portion rigidity would likely be explained by denser material that
would be more inclined to block sunlight and cast a shadow whereas the upper
thinner more expandable visually clearer portion acting as a type of lens
would be less inclined to cast a shadow and especially if it is a round but
also flattened object rather than a round voluminous sphere.
The bottom line is that it is all open to speculation. Whether real or fake,
the issues and questions associated with this are just very strange. Yet,
this is visual evidence right there verifiable in the official science data
as per the links provided above and suppose to be taken seriously. So I'm
reporting on it for your consideration. If it's real, then it is most definitely
strange. If it is a humorous fake, then image tampering becomes the primary
issue. Take your pick.
At the very least, it's amazing what one finds even in the oldest Moon science
data when one looks closer and more carefully.
