WEBSITE BANNER GRAPHICS
Along and along we receive email requests from others wishing to link from their website to our website and this content. As you may have noticed over the years, this website does not do the reciprocal links with others thing and the only sites we do link to are my previous associate Jeffrey McCann's website and official planetary research resources like NASA, JPL, MSSS, USGS, PDS, etc. to facilitate research in the official science data by those wishing to do so.
That is because this is a website of research discovery material where any credibility achieved must be slowly earned over time and is very important. Because this website traffic hit rate is very high at consistently well over a million hits every month and growing, a great many with websites and blogs would like to do the reciprocal links thing with us because of the potential substantial boost they could no doubt anticipate receiving in their own traffic volume as well as the credibility gained in association with this work.
Yet, due to the nature of this research and eventual social change work, any credibility gained here can potentially suffer if associated with the work of others that viewers may perceive as questionable and/or inappropriate. Since there is absolutely no time available here for anyone to check out or monitor the work of others or their site content, we have no choice but to adopt a policy of no links to other sites with no exceptions and trust that everyone understands the reasons for this.
Still, some often wish to link one way to our site and its content because they believe that what is happening here is important to everyone here on Earth and we encourage that. They sometimes ask if we have banner graphics that they can use to this purpose at their website or blog. To this end below are a variety of graphics to fit various website spaces that can be used. We'll add others as our time permits. Just "right" click on the graphic, then select "save picture as" in the popup menu that comes up and download.

176 x 56 pixels
306 x 66 pixels
The above text button or banner graphics are in the already compressed lower files size but high quality .GIF format and they will of course display best in that format as is true of most primarily text based graphics. The first shorter graphic and second longer graphic can be converted to and will compress further holding up reasonably well as medium .JPEG files to save a tiny bit more display file space without too much loss of detail. On the other hand, the smaller text in the third set of text graphics may get funky looking with too much .JPEG compression and you should be alert to this.
120 x 120 pixels
The above fourth graphic using the Mars globe as the background is already a high quality .JPEG graphic. It can be further reduced to a medium quality .JPEG graphic and retain an acceptable look.
